(IIRR Asian Regional Center) Tens of thousands of refugees from Myanmar/Burma have pushed across the Thai border into the already crowded border region of Mae Sot (estimates range from 10,000 to 30,000 people fleeing the election-related violence). IIRR representatives from the Asian Regional Center are on the ground in Mae Sot, Thailand meeting with the Thailand Burma Border Consortium (TBBC) Community Agriculture and Nutrition staff, and have plans to visit the refugee camps in the area this week.
